Antonio P. Linares, MD, shared Anthem and its partners’ (Monarch Healthcare, Healthcare Partners California) experiences with ACOs, including a discussion of technology enablers required by both payers and providers to make ACOs successful and data exchange and operational issues related to the ACO management.
The presentation also included an overview of a case study with the Sharp Community Medical Group and its care transformation model, with a focus on clinical systems and operational systems and structures necessary to support the ACO, including how health IT platforms are formed to support access, care coordination, and payment reform.
